Nathan Paddison is an Australian artist known for his bold, expressive style and vibrant use of acrylics and mixed media. His work, which recalls the Art Brut movement, is characterized by dynamic brushwork and emotive imagery, as well as pop cultural references. Largely self-taught as an artist, Paddison cites influences such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, and Cy Twombly. He has exhibited across Australia, Europe, and Asia, and was honored with the Kilgour Prize People’s Choice Award from Newcastle Art Gallery in 2021.
